The event will include facilitated workshops, exploring the views and opinions of all who attend. The Forum will use the information gained to produce a full written report which will be disseminated across the West Midlands. It will then guide the Forum in its Action Plan for the coming year. | Further info | Open to B&SMHT Team Managers This course aims to provide managers with an overview of a psychoeducational approach to working with families. Reference will be made to both local and national policy around carers and families, as well as issues to do with implementation and supervision. This is a brief introductory course, and it is not intended that those who attend will gain all of the skills needed to practice this approach clinically. The course will provide participants with an understanding of the key components of the Behavioural Family Therapy approach, an understanding of the research and policy which supports the implementation of these approaches in clinical practice, an awareness of the difficulties which team members experience in putting these approaches into practice, and an opportunity to reflect on their role in supporting staff to implement this approach in their work.
